Flash point is the temperature at which a fragrance can ignite - TopicsExpress

Flash point is the temperature at which a fragrance can ignite when it comes in contact with an ignition source such as an open flame or a spark. It is still perfectly safe to heat a fragrance higher than its flash point provided there is no ignition source. So to those who think they need to cool their soap to a certain temperature before adding it to your soap - well you dont have to! Personally I just add my fragrance at the end of the cook and dont even worry about the temp and I have never had an explosion, flame or scent disappear - so soap hot and add your fragrance without fear! LOL!
