Flashback Friday: The Top 10 Movie of 2005 In honor of the trailer dropping for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, lets look back at the year the original Sin City was released. 1- Wedding Crashers (David Dobkin) - My favorite comedy of all-time. 2- Sin City (Robert Rodriguez) - A visually stunning neo- noir masterpiece. 3- King Kong (Peter Jackson) - One of the best remakes ever made. 4- The 40-Year-Old Virgin - The world was introduced to the Apatow rom-com. 5- Batman Begins (Christopher Nolan) - A dark, brilliant reboot to the classic character. 6- Brokeback Mountain (Ang Lee) - One of the most tragic love stories ever put on film. 7- Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang (Shane Black) - Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer are a perfect team in this hilarious noir. 8- A History of Violence (David Cronenberg) - A shocking and brutal film about identity and the relationship between humans and violence. 9-Captoe (Bennett Miller) - Philip Seymour Hoffman is a revelation as the titular character. 10- Crash (Paul Haggis) - A raw, powerful look at race in todays society.
