Flashback: How Did Zambians End Up with this Option? Zambia Reports has dug into the archives and found an interesting video to share of President Michael Sata’s of 20 years ago. With Kenneth Kaunda’s United National Independence Party, UNIP grip on power certainly over after holding elections on 27 November 1991 Michael Sata a staunch UNIPist and vigilante commander had early in 1991 ditched Kaunda and UNIP for the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy, MMD. He was infact one of the moles in the Kaunda’s regime. In this video Michael Sata is caught in a somewhat care free mood with his then concubine Christine Kaseba (now First Lady) and a Alice Mwanza (now deceased) who was an employee of the United Bus Company of Zambia, UBZ in the early hours of November 28, 1991 drinking some ‘TEA’ or ‘COFFEE’. They were obviously on top of the world, all of them. This was in at the Lusaka Civic Center where votes for the just held Presidential and General Elections were being counted. He is seen moving or is it hiding a green bottle where the ‘TEA’ or ‘COFFEE’ is believed to have been. The liquid in the green bottle could not have been ‘TEA’ or ‘COFFEE’. When you seriously think about it the man today still seems to be intoxicated by whatever liquid was in that green bottle. zambiareports/2014/04/21/flashback-zambians-end-option/
