Flat coat? What are you talking ‘bout a flat coat? Have you SEEN me?! I am gorgeous! Ive got waves and beautiful silky hair, and…Oh wait. I AM a Flat Coated Retriever! That is my breed, now I get it! I “get” a lot of stuff because we flat coats - or “flatties” as we are sometimes called by our fans - are SMART. Yes indeed. And like most flatties I LOVE to cuddle, maybe put my head in your lap, and just be with the ones I care about. I also like to go running or walking and my foster mom says (and I quote) “Marthanne walks well on leash and heels every time. She has great house manners and is very smart and eager to please.” Let’s think about all of that for a moment, shall we? It’s good stuff! Here’s more: I’m about two and a half years old, I love children and everybody else (Except cats. Don’t care for cats), and I am completely house and crate trained. Also, I get along with other dogs that arent super small. A fenced in yard would be great so we could play fetch and romp around! I am up to date on all my vetting, have already been spayed and microchipped even! In case you didnt know, I became an Angel dog when I had babies in my tummy. Nine of them! Angels got great homes for all of my cute little ones and now it’s MY turn! Lots of folks were interested in my babies because they know how awesome flat coats are.
