Fleur De Lis Price: $195.00 (does not include shipping) ABOUT THE PIECE This piece is made in the Copper Foil (aka Tiffany Style) method. It is light weight in nature and can hang in practically any window. Even though it is light weight, due to its size you will want to hang this in your window with hook and chain. Due to the nature of art glass / stained glass and the techniques I utilize in building this piece, there will never be another one exactly the same. The border glass is iridized which means that when light reflects off of the surface of the glass it has an oily shimmer. Also, there are clear bevels in the corners that when sunlight passes through sends prisms into the room. The interior glass of this particular piece is some repurposed glass from an old church. Scroll down for more pictures of this item. The piece is adorned with what is called decorative soldering which adds to the unique look. It is also finished in a copper patina which will age over time, giving it a very rich and vintage look. In addition, this piece is designed with special attention given to reinforcement, which means if taken care of it will last from generation to generation. The exterior edge (frame) of the piece is actually constructed with a Bronze Bare rod around the perimeter, which is a copper base alloy rod. This also adds to the pieces very unique look.
