Flight yesterday from Stella Maris (Long Island, Bahamas) to St Maartens (Dutch Antilles) were uneventful - flew IFR at 11,000 and 13,000ft. I also got a chance to test my new HF radio - New York Radio was reading me 5/5, so thats a relief. The icom IC-78 is actually a lot easier to use then my normal F7000 - and a LOT cheaper. Wish I had opted for that from the start. Using a shielded coax from the tuner and down to the contact area where the reel-out antenna leaves the aircraft also seem to have reduced interference with other avionics.
