Flood Warning extended for the Dark Canyon Draw at Dark Canyon Carlsbad and Pecos River below Carlsbad 2E, below Dark Canyon affecting Eddy County until 9:40pm and 10:55pm this evening. From the National Weather Service: -The combination of water from Rocky Arroyo and Avalon along the flood wave from Dark Canyon Draw at Dark Canyon Carlsbad. Emergency management in Carlsbad indicates that water is only about 2 ft below the bridge at Canal St on Dark Canyon and it is likely to become impassable. Other low water crossings in the area are flooded and impassable. Voluntary evacuations are in place.
