Flood story of A Kashmiri girl [a must read] Asalaam o aliakum I am Sahar from Ragbagh. It was September when i was sleeping in the 3rd storey and Mom Dad were outside the house. When i opened my eyes i saw water water everywhere. I screamed a lot but no body came to my rescue. The water level was Rising at an alarming speed. No contact with my parents depressed me a lot at night. i was alone at my home it was a Day just like first day in Grave. During night i Couldnt sleep. Then during day time some boys were pointing towards our house. They shouted heyyyy (Koi haiii ) i was afraid at 1st because they were 3 boys. I had myself inside my house because you know a girl alone and 3 boys they were about to leave and i decided to go with them so i Yelled Please help. boys come and they Told me do u want anything from the house .i just take some clothes and nothing.when i got in the boat i kept my eyes down and 1 boy came and said hey sister dont be ashamed we are your brothers nothing bad will happen to you trust us .They gave me some apples i was eating them like a Beggar. But the question was where to go because all my relatives even friends were under water. then one boy told me If u dont mind can you come to ours .. my silence gave them my reply. So i went with Him from Gupkar road on Foot to Brein. His Family was simple .his little sister accompanied me. She became so happy.. it was my first visit to house which i can say was Poor to me. at my home i used to sleep on Bed but there i have to sleep on Floor it was my 1st experience to live in such a Family. but to be Frank life in such a family was awesome. I learnt a lot of things in their family. Kashmiri Culture was Full alive in such family. So next day it was The time of fajr the little Girl woke Up and offered the Salah. I was looking at her and just thinking my parents never asked me to offer namaz then the Little Girl used to Recite the Holy Book Al Quran and i was shocked because no one taught me how to read Quran. Tears were falling from my eyes then in the coming days i also offered salah. I think that flood was a turning point in my life. I am thankful to such a Family where i learnt the real meaning of life. When i visited my parents and when they saw me in Hijab and new modified clothes they were Shocked. From that day i have Changed a lot. Thanks to Almighty Allah.
