Flooding Update Okaloosa County, Fla. – Okaloosa County Commissioners will meet at 1:00 p.m. today to discuss a declaration of a “State of Emergency” in Okaloosa County. Okaloosa County offices are closed except for essential personnel. A shelter is open at the Crestview Community Center in Crestview. Residents are encouraged to shelter in place and stay off the roads if at all possible. The following county roads are closed due to flooding: 9th Ave./12th in Shalimar; 7th & 5th; Eglin & 6th Eglin & Old Ferry Green Acres Road & Landview Mar Walt at the FWB Medical Center Cinco Bridge Mid-Bay Bridge closed Ida Coon in Bluewater flooded BLD De La Perisienne, Mary Esther; Marimba Near Hwy. 98 Lloyd Street Pier One Condos, Pelham Road Cody Ave./98 Closed N. Hwy. 189 Brooks Bridge to Destin Bridge closed John Wayne Cir. Tyner St./Scott Lane Santa Rosa Blvd. Okaloosa Island Westbound lane at The Track, Hwy. 98, Destin Danny Wuerffel Way Destin, impassable Crestview: Hwy. 85 south of Co. Line road, at PJ Adams, & at Horseshoe Creek, Brackin St., Aplin at Patriot Lane, Sioux Cir. At Stephens Lane, N. Ferndon at High School, Shoal River Bridge flooded at Hwy. 90, Ludam & Steel Mill Creek, Peacock Rd., W. Hwy. 4 at Jackson Bridge, Okaloosa Lane, Thomas Road From Okaloosa Board of Commissioners.
