Floods Hit Germany: Magdeburg Soldiers of the German Bundeswehr ride a TPz Fuchs amphibious transporter through floodwaters from the swollen Elbe river at an industrial park in the Rothensee district on June 9, 2013 in Magdeburg, Germany. Magdeburg is enduring its highest floodwaters in its 1,200 year history and several city districts are underwater. Catastrophic flooding has hit portions of southern and eastern Germany that has left at least seven people dead and forced tens of thousands to flee their homes.
