Flora Charles is refusing me these copies until I come in there and sign a paper saying that it is me wanting them. She has sent me e-mails and Letters for five months now with-out me signing!!!!!!!!! She is also saying that it will take her a lot of time to find them.. There is no excuse given according to KS statutes 45-220 which I have attached, I do have the right to know who the WE pertains to, also I can ask for you to sign you request for information if I am not sure who is requesting it, and typing your name and address at the bottom of an email is not a signature. I am not comfortable at this time to release records to an unsigned request from an email address, where the request is not made by a specific person.I have the information you requested except I have to search a little more for the records on file when I was not the City Clerk. When you provide me with a signed request, you will be notified with the cost and when the information is available. After you e-mailing and sending me the information for five months??? The statutes say that I have a right to request the copies by e-mail and that is what I have done. Since we (you, Florence, and I) have been doing it for five months. I do not understand what the problem is??? And why it would take you a long time to look up a tiny bid of information. Yes I will call the Attorney Generals office and let them know that I have received copies for five months now and all of a sudden you think I should sign before I get the copies. This seems to be selective persecution! I will also ask them why is will take you so long to look them up since it should be done every election. Carolyn McLean
