Florence F. Walker, 85, of Scio passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2014 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. She was born May 5, 1928 in Jefferson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Daisey Power Hile. Florence was a member of the Carrollton Baptist Temple in Carrollton. She is survived by three sons, Larry Walker of Scio, OH, Lewis Dean Walker of Wichita, KS, Emerson (Cindy) Walker of Streetsboro, OH; daughter, Jean (Ian) Harris of Dublin, OH; eight grandchildren; brother, David Hile of Dayton; and a sister Lois Staten of Bergholz, OH. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, on February 9, 2002, and a brother. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam with Rev. David Powell officiating. Burial will follow in East Springfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
