Florida Artists Gallery seeking “Green” artists The Florida Artists Gallery wants to hear from “Green” artists. Gallery President Ann Covington explains, “By ‘Green,’ we mean artists who work with recycled materials in a conscious effort to reduce waste and their impact on the environment. We are hoping to create an exhibit of both inside and outside environmental art.” Appropriately, the Gallery plans to turn a greenhouse into its “green gallery,” and surround it with garden art and other forms of sculpture that can survive outside exposure. The deadline to submit examples or photographs of “green” art will be November 1, 2014. An opening of the new greenhouse gallery is planned for November 15 in conjunction with a Starving Artists Sale on the lawns of historic Knight House, the home of the Florida Artists Gallery and Café.
