Flowtoys Contact Composite Wand: Let me start out with: HOLY CRAP GUYS!! ITS REAL LIFE!! CONTACT LED WAND!! Ok, now that I have gotten that out of the way. Let us talk wand! First off, this wand is the same build as the rest of their composite systems. The body is made of Carbon Fiber. This stuff is no joke! Carbon Fiber is some of the strongest metal that is used for prop building. So for those who play hard, good luck bending this stuff! The body is encased in elastomer grip. This makes the wand super grippy and soft. This is PERFECT for contact wand!! The grip also adds a little weight to it as well. The weight is about 8oz, so its not too light or too heavy. If you want to add weight to it, you can add FlowMass. Warning!! This does make the wand a little wonky and adds drag! I personally didnt like it, but I thought it was worth a shot. flowtoys/flowmass-pair/ The lights that they used are the Capsule Lights used in their PodPoi. They react to movement and have lots of different modes. FlowToys has also added Vellum in the tube of the light. This helps defuse the brightness and gives it a softer glow. The Capsule Lights charge really fast! It takes about an hour to fully charge. It uses a micro USB to charge. Which is super handy because it will plug into and USB charger. I like that it puts most of the weight on the ends of the wand. It feels similar to a fire wand / contact staff. So, having most of the weight there makes it great for contact wand!! Fishtails ALL DAY! The length of the wand ranges from 28 inches to about 31 inches. You have the option of choosing what you want. With the grip on the wand, the width is about 14mm. This a little thicker then your average fire wand, but not too thick to manipulate. I would say that its just right. So, It looks like this wand is going to go for $160. That pretty low for high end wand. Did I mention LIFETIME WARRANTY?!! Any of you guys still holding on to old product can send it in for partial credit for this baby!
