Flu vaccines have to be renewed every year. Why? Because, when they actually work, they only offer immunity from a few strains of flu viruses that were around the year before. Here is the fallacy: The flu virus constantly mutates. So you certainly are not immune from the flu when you get a shot. There is also great controversy over just how effective these yearly shots are---effective beyond enriching the coffers of the vaccine manufacturers! Think twice before you allow someone to inject something foreign into your body.
