Flying out to Edmonton for the CCMAs in 12 hours. A couple of CCMA fond memories of years past...1) 2011 in Hamilton, ran into Jimmy Rankin before the awards show and he was saying how hungry he was, hadnt had a bite to eat all day. I smuggled him into the hospitality room for the media and fed him a few hot meatballs! 2) Very surprised when this happened in 1988 in Toronto. Looking forward to making new memories this year! Good luck to all the award nominees, all the participants and the CCMA. I think Canadian country music is at a zenith with so many talented artists, musicians and industry personnel. I think were ready to take it to the next level...worldwide (and some already have)! Proud to watch this industry grow so much over the decades and privileged to be a small part of it.
