Flying squirrel update: (Lucky) 1/21/15 Today, he displayed an increased activity level along with an increased appetite. The squirrel demonstrated climbing activity at a deliberate pace, and also, at times, an upright posture. These are marked improvements in energy level and neuromuscular function. More significantly, he is now demonstrating limited instinctual behavior in that he is now burrowing into the straw bedding, and made attempts at vocalization. Overall: Increased dietary intake, increased activity, increased energy level, moderate increase in neuromuscular co-ordination, and significant appearance of instinctual behavior. Impression: Accelerating recovery.
