Focus on Competition 2014 Karanović & Nikolić hosted a gathering of competition policy experts at its 8th Annual Focus on Competition Conference in Belgrade, which was organised on the occasion of the launch of the 2014 edition of the Karanović & Nikolić publication Focus on Competition, in cooperation with the Belgrade office of Friedrich Naumann. The event was opened by His Excellency Heinz Wilhelm, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Vesna Kovac from the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia and Freek Janmaat, head of EU integration and economy at the EU Delegation of Serbia. Panellists included Stephen Lewis of RBB Economics in London, Ann Sofie Clots of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, Boris Begovic, President of Centre for Liberal Democratic Studies and Professor of Economics at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, Andrej Plahutnik, Project Team Leader / Senior Competition Expert EU-SCS, Olgica Spevec, Consultant, AS Consult d.o.o., Croatia, Massimiliano Gangi, Key Economic Expert, GIZ, David Schoch, Founder and Member of Board of Directors, Orion Telekom, Vladimir Pavić, Professor, University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law and Karanović & Nikolić regional competition practice head Rastko Petaković.
