Foil lesson for those struggling with fragile hair,,,,, Pictures one and two are pictures of what you should not see after a fresh foil. Note you can see a line where the foil was... The new growth is still very much present. Fine hair is challenging to foil which is why it is very important to pay attention and ask the proper questions when having your hair done. Picture three shows starting at the crown for this partial foil weave ( the hair is stronger, most of the time not as light, it isnt exposed to the elements). Over directing hair to ensure foil placement is on base. Feathering color down the strand only far enough to blend. Keeping ones hairs healthy is crucial. You should never lighten what has already been lightened!!!!!!!!!!! Thats when you get breakage!!!!!! Once top is complete sides are last to foil. I use two separate volumes of catalyst so processing times are even. Dont be afraid to take out the foils that are finished processing--- better than hair breaking off.
