Folks I am going to post some info on minimum wage and how it works. This is not to start trouble with any one. This is where I stand as a Franchise owner I start my folks out higher then the minimum wage. The jobs that are in fast food, retail and unskilled labor are starter jobs and are not meant to support a family and never will. When you pull up to Mcdonals and you place your order the owner of that Mcdonals has paid the corporation for that food. That is just the start of it. The owner of the franchise had to buy every piece of equipment from Mcdonals corporation. They can not buy any thing on the open market. Every thing the owner buys from the corporation. Then there is social security tax workmen comp, state tax fed tax and the town has there hand out and lets not forget rent. Now we can open the doors theres electric that has to be paid Now we have people working. We have 2 people pur shift at 8-10$ a hour. If the minimum wage go to 15$ a hour there will be some changes made. Corporation is not going to charge me less for what I have to get from them the electric comp. is not going to give me a break and the taxes will go up if any thing. So where can I come up with the money to pay my folks that work there tails off for me and Holly I am in business to make a living not a killing but a living. Ok 15$ a hour, 3 people gone no job to meet my obligations and to make a living. then the corporation tell you have to do a remodel I cant cut back any more there is nothing left to cut back on so I go up no the prices and the customer pays So when all is said and done 3 people out of work the consumer is pay more. Right back where we started from I dont care what this government is telling us our economy is in bad shape and it is not getting much better I see it every day these are the hard facts We need big business to have the jobs to support a family Sorry if I pissed any one off but the bottom line is if the minimum wage goes up the consumer will foot the bill
