Folks, I am rightly outraged at the way false doctrines have become part and parcel of christiandom today. I was watching one of the televangelists preaching about prosperity a while ago, and I still cant come to terms with the fact that such a dude have followers. Hear him: The Lord says you must sow into my good works. Sow sparingly into my life. Sow everything you have, even your last pesewa into my life, and youll reap abundantly. Prosperity comes to those who sow sparingly into the lives of their pastors. Intriguing! Isnt it? This wayward pastor is asking his followers to sow everything they have into his life in return for prosperity. Where is the gospel in all this? For how long will these so-called pastors going to continue manipulating their weaker brothers and sisters into giving? Obviously, the greed and prosperity gospel have taken over the church, and clearly, it is leading to apostasy. Some of these pastors have taken the gospel of Jesus Christ in a direction never intended by the Lord of glory. The false doctrine of instant riches through “seed sowing” is the fraud they sell to desperate people, who are looking for a quick fix to their money problems. And sadly, people buy into this deception, and “sow their seed” into rotten “ground” and hope in vain for a harvest. Meanwhile, only the greedy pastors lavish living continues to be funded through this scam, while the people who gave are generally only poorer for their “donations.” If you go on the Internet and search for those impacted by the gospel of greed, you will discover horror stories about people giving their entire life’s savings in hope for a one-hundredfold return. One story I heard involved a middle-aged couple giving thousands of dollars to a popular mega ministry. The ministry went on to weave a web of lies about how God would bless them if they gave, and so they did. When a family member needed extensive medical care and with their life-savings exhausted from seed-faith donations, the middle-aged couple contacted the ministry for financial assistance. The ministry responded with a letter informing them it was not their policy to help supporters and they never heard from the ministry again. What this true story should tell everyone in the church about the “greed ministries” is they do not believe what they teach, and yet they keep deceiving people week after week. Indeed, wolves are leading the flock in this end times. Lets cry out to God in prayer for Him to save these wolves and their gullible preys...
