Folks ask me, Just how off the grid do you hike in those deserts in California when you are making photos? Well...have a look. Let me add that when Im making photos in the desert, its not just the sights that are amazing, it is amazing how much garbage I come across! Literally in the middle of nowhere. Quite sad, that people drive hundreds of miles, to dump fridges, stoves, toilets, shelving, microwaves, etc. Now, the small stuff, like paper, plastic bottles and so on, I try to take with me so when I get to a gas station I throw it out. So please, if you are ever out in the middle of nowhere, the less traveled places like I go often, please help out and take some garbage with you. I know we all cant be traveling with pounds of garbage and rusty fridges in our cars, ha, but a little bit goes a long way.
