Folks, thanks for all the support on Quiet Desperation!!! Weve had some very magical people come out from the woodwork on the Managerial/Legal side to guide us in our upcoming adventures dealing with our CBS contract, and the future.... Dont worry about a thing... Things are just starting to heat up.... Ive felt a renewed sense of faith in being an artist ever since I started my new radio show The Rob Potylo Entertainment System on WEMF Radio.... For awhile Quiet D was my only outlet, and only because it captured my struggling and depression from trying to continue to perform as a music/comedy man live... I just havent enjoyed too many shows lately because people just dont seem to understand me.... But I cant live and die by that anymore.... The radio show has also cemented my relationship with the EMF building in Cambridge, which I believe is a creative church that brings Warhols factory to the next level. I believe this has the makings of an epic Spring, and I cant thank people like William des Desmond, Alvan Long, and Katherine Desmond for the opportunities to roam its hallways daily.... Its truly the stuff of dreams.... Since a lot of my dreams are in big fun houses or surreal buildings with creative types. I believe in the magic of places like these to incubate vibe and psyche in creative types. Often the cynical realities of Boston living beat the hope out of creative folks. I believe the longer someone can be around fellow artists and dreams the more they grow to that environment like a flower... Becoming its surroundings. Then taking that energy to the outside world and planting seeds or just shinning. I believe we can create the moments we only read about on Wikipedia history... We just need a small village of magical creative types to believe. The time of fail video cynics should perish down the internet gutter, and people investing hope in the arts and the connections/communications that opens up should flourish. Anyhow tune into my little radio show today at 4pm... Well be featuring Chris Faraone of DigBoston, and Katie Coriander of Earth Heart, along with the Sega Genesis and my nintendo soundtrack... And I really love when you listen.... I swear I feel it.
