Follow his prescription Medicine will not work for unless you take it according to the prescription/direction. For instance, you went to the Doctor and he gave a prescription. Upon getting home, you placed it under your pillow and did not use it. Will it work for you? No! The medicine will still not work for you if you put it on your bedside table without using it. It will only work for you if you use it according to direction. Medicine in the natural, won’t do any good unless you take it according to directions. Proverbs 4:20–22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Take note of the last phrase, "...and health to all their flesh." This means that God has “prescribed” His words for our healing and for our health! Proverbs 4:20-22 simply makes us understand that God’s medicine is his word (The Bible). This medicine won’t work just because you have it on your bedside table or under your pillow. But it will work if you will get it down on the inside of you, into your heart or spirit. And not just by reading it and forgetting it; but by meditating upon it until it becomes a part of your inward man. Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
