Follow up on The Uniform Shop Of the no large bag and purse policy. Today I had a great shopping experience at The Uniform Shop on Kirkman Street. I walked in, saw the sign, saw the young man with the security shirt on who was extremely friendly and had NO problem nor felt uncomfortable leaving my purse with the young man. Again this policy with The Uniform Shop is not uncommon in our state or in this country. I spoke with the owner of the store and she stated that there were still a few people that were upset about this policy and were saying that they didnt want to risk their Coach and Michael Kors purses being messed with by the very pleasant young man watching the purses. Well, I did not feel uncomfortable leaving my Louis Vuitton (special gift for anniversary one year) with the young man. I shopped with ease and comfort, did not feel the need to even look over towards my purse. I was in there for 30 minutes, had my shirts for my son and I really enjoyed meeting the owner face to face. The entire staff was friendly! And they didnt even know who I was until mid way through my shopping experience. I hope our parish continues to support our locally owned small businesses. This business will have my familys support and my friends support. Thank you Calcasieu Parish for supporting the shop!
