Following the Metal monster presentation on Wednesday the 4th September 2013, we have received numerous enquiries from players and teams from around the UK. Metal Monster is a new brand that will concentrate on the development of Roller Sports, roller hockey, roller skating and roller derby. This Roller Sports revolution will begin with the launch of a new sponsored senior roller hockey league that boasts over £5,000 of cash sponsorship. The league is open to all senior teams (min player age is 16yrs old), it is fully insured and there will be no team or player registration fees. Every team that enters will receive a full set of custom designed shirts that carry details of the league sponsors and it is anticipated that each team will play at least once a month between October and June. Goal mouth action will be streamed live to a big screen so that the crowd can see all the action close up together with match commentary, announcements of penalties, music, all of which will create an exciting atmosphere for the players and spectators alike. The new metal monster shop in Skate Central will guarantee to provide the cheapest equipment in the UK to players or we will give the kit for free! The shop will also carry the Metal Monster clothing range all of which will be marketed at affordable prices to players, Our development programme will include an 8 week learn to skate programme, roller hockey lessons, developing on to in-house junior leagues all of which will be subsidised at e.g. £20 for an 8 week learn to skate course. Future development in conjunction with the Sheffield Steelers will include intermediate and advanced player camps as well as goalie coaching, camps and clinics.
