Food Labels of direct-marketed food I have looked at the ingredients in the food isles of grocery stores and I see a lot of added ingredients in commercial invaluable empty, synthetic foods, artificial ingredients, and beverages that are sugar-laden and artificial sweeteners, additives (corn, wheat, etc. MSG), chemicals, allergens, preservatives, salt, flavouring, additional vitamins, food dyes and coloring. Here is more bad news. Processed foods are typically loaded with refined sugars and flours, chemical preservatives, food colorings, and other additives implicated in causing in children hyperactivity, learning disorders, and similar autism symptoms. Those foods are completely devoid of nutrients. It’s not food for people. It doesn’t matter how much you eat, you’re going to still be hungry, because your body is still craving real nutrition. Consuming processed nutrient poor foods is getting calories but they are not getting quality nutrition. Convenience foods are sweets, processed chocolate. microwave meals, tinned foods, powdered soups, instant meals, fast food. The companies that promote these products claim on their food packages that their food is naturally healthy. They tricked you into denying yourself the things that are good for you, and instead into eating their junk. Refined white sugar, white flour products, soft drinks, and junk foods leach calcium from the bones in order to correct the acid formation in the blood and tissues of the body. We have a problem... our food supply is poisoned by pollutants, toxins, additives and thousands of man-made chemicals and preservatives that confuse our bodies and throw off our natural signals our bodies use to keep us strong and lean. Our modern diet can cause our body’s fat-reduction messengers to “misfire,” keeping us hungry, fat and craving all the wrong foods. These fake products are dressed up and displayed as real food so much these days that our bodies hardly intake “real food” anymore. They are still dead, processed foods that may contain harmful ingredients like hydrogenated oils, preservatives, and neurotoxins. Fructose is the sugar in fruit, vegetables, grains and honey. It is also used as a popular sweetener in prepared foods including and perhaps especially in soft drinks in the form of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Foods containing high fructose corn syrup, for example, make you pump out so much leptin that your body eventually ignores the constant “full” signal. Your body thinks it needs to keep eating and storing more fat because it thinks it’s out of energy! Beware of pectin sold in grocery stores, as some brands may contain MSG. Only 15% of the salt in the average diet comes from the salt shaker, the rest is hidden in processed foods. processed and fast foods account for over 80 percent of the sodium intake using toxic processed salt, mixed with other health damaging additives such as HFCS and trans-fatty acid oils, which are more responsible for causing high blood pressure than pure, unprocessed sea salt. Avoiding highly processed cheap, low-quality convenience food is one way to reduce sodium intake. Studies show that a high intake of refined grains (such as those found in white bread and many processed foods) may rev up inflammation. All these type of foods create people to live with food allergies and intolerances and all types of allergies from the food. Children are growing up to live their full lives with allergies. Food allergies which are becoming more common are a trigger of mental symptoms, including depression. All this bad food lowers immunity in children which created dis-eases. This is junk food that really is not good for the health of anyone. Processed and refined foods promote disease while a plant-based diet supports health. That’s because food is the way to supply your body with vitamins and minerals naturally. A lot of food is refined. Check any food label and you will see that wheat is in almost everything. Wheat is truly an allergen. It also eats away at the lining of our stomachs. The processed foods come in packages covered in plastic. Some of the other junk food I see are junk food items such as frozen pizza, Pringles, non-healthy cookies, food made with white flour, potato chips, baked goods, cereals, pastries, bagels, breads, breakfast bars, candies that are not made with real fruit and that are high in saturated fat, cholesterol or trans fats. There are lots of non-organic foods: where heavy metals are used in pesticides and fertilizers, such as pesticides, herbicides, and petrochemicals that have an estrogenic effect inside our bodies. Hybridized foods grown with chemical pesticide-ridden, herbicides and fertilizers are far away from those original wild foods that our cells expect. These are sprayed on plants and dumped on the soil the plants use as food. Most of the snacks available are full of sugar which can form phytic acid. This binds to chromium and prevents it from being absorbed. Apples and blueberries are my snack and fast foods. I also see in grocery stores that some produce is not fresh and has fungus growing on it. I always look for the freshest produce. There are lots of disrupting chemicals that can be found in canned foods. I will not buy food in cans even if they are BPA free, I don’t know what else these cans are stored in. I will always buy food in glass jars if they come this way as opposed to cans. A lot of non-organic food is genetically modified organisms. I will only once more buy organic to be on the safe side. Toxins are in just about everything we come into contact with. They enter our body through the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Synthetic vitamins are added to a lot of food. When vitamins are synthesized in the laboratory, their complexity is reduced to one active ingredient. In situations of impoverishment and famine, supplements have health benefits. They do not replace healthy food, however, and long-term use of vitamin supplements poses health risks including more aggressive cancers (alpha tocopherol), faster growing cancers (ascorbic acid), and increased risk of cancer and heart disease (beta carotene). Individual nutrients can be created in the laboratory, but they are unlikely to have the life-giving, spirit-enhancing properties of real foods. Now for the good news. Traditionally, Asian cultures believe nutrient dense food is one of the most powerful allies for attracting positive experiences into our lives. Whether concerning prosperity or solid relationships, joy or success - a healthy body and mind are key. Fruit is not only enjoyable to eat -- as it should be, considering the very word fruit stems from the Latin word frui, meaning to enjoy, use -- but it also nourishes and protects the body with powerful, built-in medicinal activity. The real food we crave is packed with nutrients – omega-3, vitamins, minerals. And a lot of whole natural food has good healthy fat to help deliver the nutrients through our bodies. Naturally occurring fat is the best food you can eat. Check health food stores for the best products and for healthy food. Eliminating chemically sprayed veggies and fruits, processed foods (even so-called natural cereals), junk foods, sugars, and artificial sweeteners goes a long way toward curing chronic, adverse health of any type, including skin conditions. Replacing processed foods with natural foods like meat, fruits, vegetables, berries and nuts is the best way to heal, cleanse and rejuvenate your body. Fresh, pesticide-free fruits and vegetables; raw and sprouted nuts; and pasture-based meats and raw dairy products without antibiotics are all preferable to boxed or canned foods that have been heavily processed and fortified with synthetic vitamins and other chemicals. Serve your family only organic or chemical-free foods, preferably fresh or frozen to start. Nothing in a box, no processed salt, and only raw or gently-cooked foods. One of the best ways to mend the gut and reduce permeability is to adopt an organic whole-food diet with plenty of vegetables, fiber and freshly juiced greens. Toss out processed and gluten containing foods, dairy, meat, unsprouted grains and sugar. With organic foods, you get a food-remedy tool kit that not only will ward off cancer and heart disease, but also colds, flu, allergies, and a host of other ailments that plague us every day. If a person was not raised on raw organic vegetables or foods, it may be difficult for them to make the transition from cooked, fried, and processed foods. Take it slowly and start the process by eating fresh fruit for breakfast every morning. After youve done that for a week or so, start eliminating one toxic food plus one toxic beverage every week until you have accomplished the goal of reducing your daily toxic threshold. Organic food sources are the best choices. Organic foods emit a clearly more vibrant and harmonious energy field than conventional foods. If this energy field is truly indicative of a foods life source, then it appears as though whole, clean foods eaten as close as possible to the way nature intended are more life-giving than over-processed, pesticide-ridden foods. I believe in eating a plant-based, organic, nutrient dense, unprocessed, whole-foods diet—a diet rich in a variety of colorful (and hence nutrient-packed) flavourful fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts. My meals provide my family with healthy whole foods nutrition. This type of food has great spiritual energy and provides food for the cells of the body. Good nutrition is critically important to every form of life we know. Our goal is to have the most nutritional value per ounce of food that we eat.
