Food and Physical Fitness are about creating a hormonal response in the body. In other words counting calories and exercising for the sake of burning calories is going to be the least effective way to meet your goals. Calories in calories out and high caloric burn is NOT backed by biology in terms of favorable hormonal response (the primary mechanism of action relevant to dietary/ exercise adaptation). The hormonal response produced by food/exercise is far more important than the calorie content or intensity of said food or exercise, hands down! Quality over quantity will always produce the most favorable hormonal responses which means better results.
