Food for thought/ challenge... So last night I was having dinner with one of my moms old pony clubbers ( now she is part of EPA region). And we were discussing Games and how it died out and now its slowly coming back. The part of the conversation where it took a slightly heated turn was how she said well you have to have a specialized pony for games. That one always cooks my goose. She continued to say because our younger PC members cannot bring back a pony after it plays games. I for one know the way I trained all my games ponies they were one hell of an all around. They give lessons to 5 yr olds, I can get them on the bit and we can spin tightly around a pole. My 16.3 eventer/jumper would always give me better scores after we played. I still teach games this way and yes I am older but I still feel that the vast majority of today our younger kids can bring back a games pony go compete at some high level horse show. And when you win say yep this is my games pony
