Food in the supermarkets, ready to eat meals, a variety of beverages- how does it reach our table? Food technology is a study of food from the farm to fork involving multi disciplines such as chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, microbiology and nutrition. Man needs to eat and is ever craving for new and novel foods. Thus a need is there for a Food Technologist to develop not only safe and nutritious food but also novel food products to cater to the ever evolving nutritional and sensory needs of mankind. Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Food Technology offered by Allianze University College of Medical Sciences (AUCMS) is specifically designed to equip students with a sound knowledge in the theories and principles of food ingredients, food microbiology, food processing, food preservation, food packaging and food sensory. Besides that, students will also be exposed to the Food Law and Regulations of the country. As Malaysia leads its way as the hub of Halal Food Manufacturing, there will also be a subject on Management of Halal Food
