Football ::::::::::: :::::::::::; Indeed! Football is among the greatest of tribulations that affect the world at large and the Muslims especially. Our religion is a moderate religion and so its free from excessiveness. ALLAAH has said in the Glorious Quraan, Suurah ﻭَﻳَﻜُﻮﻥَ ﻛﺬﺍﻟﻚ ﺟﻌﻠﻨﺎﻛﻢ ﺃﻣﺔ Baqarah 143: ﻭَﺳَﻄًﺎ ﻟِﺘَﻜُﻮﻧُﻮﺍ ﺷُﻬَﺪَﺍﺀَ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺳُﻮﻝُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺷَﻬِﻴﺪًﺍ ۗ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺟَﻌَﻠْﻨَﺎ ﺍﻟْﻘِﺒْﻠَﺔَ ﺍﻟَّﺘِﻲ ﻛُﻨْﺖَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬَﺎ ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﻟِﻨَﻌْﻠَﻢَ ﻣَﻦْ ﻳَﺘَّﺒِﻊُ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺳُﻮﻝَ ﻣِﻤَّﻦْ ﻳَﻨْﻘَﻠِﺐُ ﻋَﻠَﻰٰ ﻋَﻘِﺒَﻴْﻪِ ۚ ﻭَﺇِﻥْ ﻛَﺎﻧَﺖْ ﻟَﻜَﺒِﻴﺮَﺓً ﺇِﻟَّﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﻫَﺪَﻯ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ۗ ﻭَﻣَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪُ ﻟِﻴُﻀِﻴﻊَ ﺇِﻳﻤَﺎﻧَﻜُﻢْ ﺇِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪَ ﺑِﺎﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻟَﺮَﺀُﻭﻑٌ ﺭَﺣِﻴﻢٌ Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful. And in an instance The Rasuul said The best of issues/affairs is that which is moderate. So what is the Islamic view point regarding football?? Yes! It is certain that it is one of the sportive activities most famous and popular today worldwide, in fact its the most popular in this our age. It is one of the body exercise, but it is a pity that reverse is now the case, that it (football) is now having a physical fit from the body. The Noble Prophet salla LLAAHU alayhi wa sallam said in a reliable narration, A strong (healthy) believer is better and more beloved to ALLAAH than a weak believer.... Among what make the human body strong is the football, but has it been handled as it ought to be handled? First we have to know that its one of the plots of enemies to damage Islaam but (unfortunately for them); They want to extinguish the light of ALLAAH refused that HIS light (religion) be put off but to continue. They all are aware that the purpose of creation is to worship (ALLAAH ) as a text of ALLAAHs speech proved that, ALLAAH said in suuratudh Dhaaryaat verse 56-58 I did not create the Jinns and Men other than to worship Me#Neither is it wealth I want from them nor do I want them to feed me# Surely ALLAAH bus The Provider and The Possessor of all might, (and) Strong(er than all). We were created to worship the Lord of the worlds and the most sublime/ greatest of all this acts of worship is the salaat (Muslims 5daily prayers, because with it a Muslim is distinguished from a non-Muslim. As it was correctly narrated from The Prophet salla LLAAHU alayhi wa sallam that salat is the difference between a Muslim and a non-Muslim. And among their plot is to destroy and deter this our Noble religious act Salaat, Football, especially the one we watch on TV had kept people in general and the Muslim (ummah) especially busy with ideas that make them forget about the remembrance (Dhikr) of their Lord. And You know what the reward of those who forgot the dhikr of ALLAAH?? ALLAAH said in suuratu Taahaa verse number 124-125 ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﺃَﻋْﺮَﺽَ ﻋَﻦْ ﺫِﻛْﺮِﻱ ﻓَﺈِﻥَّ ﻟَﻪُ ﻣَﻌِﻴﺸَﺔً ﺿَﻨْﻜًﺎ ﻭَﻧَﺤْﺸُﺮُﻩُ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﺍﻟْﻘِﻴَﺎﻣَﺔِ ﺃَﻋْﻤَﻰٰ But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.# ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺭَﺏِّ ﻟِﻢَ ﺣَﺸَﺮْﺗَﻨِﻲ ﺃَﻋْﻤَﻰٰ ﻭَﻗَﺪْ ﻛُﻨْﺖُ ﺑَﺼِﻴﺮًﺍ He will say: O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight. Premiership, Serial A, La Liga, Carling Cup, FA Cup, World cup, et cetera are all trials, they ate meant to turn the Muslims away from the purpose of their existence, as such, most are fixed in time of salaat, and others are fixed in mid nights when tahajjud is suppose to be going on. ALLAAH said in suurah Israa verse number 79 ﻭَﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻴْﻞِ ﻓَﺘَﻬَﺠَّﺪْ ﺑِﻪِ ﻧَﺎﻓِﻠَﺔً ﻟَﻚَ ﻋَﺴَﻰٰ ﺃَﻥْ ﻳَﺒْﻌَﺜَﻚَ ﺭَﺑُّﻚَ ﻣَﻘَﺎﻣًﺎ ﻣَﺤْﻤُﻮﺩًﺍ And pray in the small watches of the morning: (it would be) an additional prayer (or spiritual profit) for thee: soon will thy Lord raise thee to a Station of Praise and Glory!. And. The Prophet ﺻﻠﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭ ﺳﻠﻢ prayed until his feet were swollen and Ibn Abbas said; Isnt it true that ALLAAH has forgiven your past and future? And The Rasuul said Shouldnt I be a grateful servant? And here we are, committing evil and grievous sins day and night. Instead of we to spend the night on night prayers (tahajjud) we spend it on mere things that ll surely finish (no benefit), to the extent some Muslims will miss the Fajr (morning) prayer because it clashed with the world cup in the period of Salaat. Secondly, among the reasons for the placement of football, is to cause division between d children of Islaam (Youths), as it promotes enmity and hatred between the worldwide community and Islamic community. Third, it promote exposing the private area of the body which Islaam warn against, fracturing and injury even death.. Fourth, it promote gambling which Islaam condemns and prohibits, and that has always inherited quarrels and fight because of their following clubs. What a pity! So bad that we see youths wasting their precious time. arguing who play most; This player play better than this and this is better than that, at times this leads to fights. And those players do not know that some people are out there fighting for their sake, so that they can reward them for their stupidity. The. Prophet ﺻﻠﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭ ﺳﻠﻢ said (There are) two favours many people are dwelling in:(they are;) good health and free time (vacancy). It is so painful that we seen the poor who complain that ALLAAH did not provide their needs and yet they pay #50 or more to watch just a match! When you ask them to spend in the path of ALLAAH they will refuse and say;thats on the rich among us. The rich will truly spend and ALLAAH will thereby increase, as a reward of what they do (of good), and our Lord is never to cheat on HIS servants. And most or some youths prefer calling the names if these players like ; Robinho, Owen, Beckham, Kaka, Tevez, Torex, Etoo, Merciless Messi, etc, leaving the most beautiful names of ALLAAH, and the names of the Prophets and Messengers. In conclusion: (We should say stay ) faraway from anything that make us forget the remembrance of ALLAAH because our stay (in life) is short. Luqmaanul Hakeem said when advising his son You should know that you stay in the world is little, and you have spent a Little out of that Little, and nothing remain from the little except little Duties are much and life span is counted. ALLAAH do not change the state of people until they first change the self state. We ask ALLAAH to grant us success and happiness and victory over the enemies, surely He controls it all and over all things HE is The Greatest.
