For 30+ years our family, the Vance Family, traveled and sang in many states and many churches and saw a lot of lost souls won to the Lord and many people encouraged - and in the end those folks encouraged us. Well that journey ended on Nov 17, 2009 when my dad went to be with the Lord. Someone asked me a while back if I was still singing I was almost offended - I said YES! I mean where do we stop ever serving the Lord in what He has called us to do? NOWHERE DO WE STOP NOR SHOULD WE! So this weekend I have been asked to go to a Womens Retreat to be a Worship Leader! Well to me that means sing some songs - some of their choosing and some of mine - but all for the glory of God and all to bring glory and honor to Him!!! Is this the beginning of a journey on my own? I cant tell you that but I really have desired something of this capacity for a loonnnggg time but never really told anyone my hearts desire - but the Lord knew. He knows EVERYTHING ABOUT US!!! So as I embark on this new journey - please pray that the Holy Spirit will be the Worship leader and i will be the medium by which He uses! I so want to be used of the Lord!! I LOVE serving the Lord and now I have a little one coming along behind me - one is Lilly and the other is yet to be born - but I want to lead them in the ways of the Lord - we were in a music store last night and I saw those little guitars - pink yellow green brown - any color you wanted - and I said I see myself buying one of them for the new baby someday - yes SOMEDAY - She and Granny will sit down and play together someday - thats my hearts desire! Love the Lord - He has brought me to this point of my life and I love my life. I have lived for the Lord many years starting on March 21, 1971 when I gave my life to him at the young age of 9 years old in an old farmhouse in Johnsville Oh down beside a green nawgahide couch - Such a precious time and precious parents that lead me to Him that night - God is good and getting gooder!!!
