For Acidity Problems - My suggestion is as below. 1. First thing in the morning drink 1.27 ltrs of luke warm water. This is equivalent to 6 glasses of 200 ml water. It is much better to measure this much amount. ( Initially it is difficult to drink after 4 glasses and you have to walk few steps etc in the room etc and drink remaining). Why 1.27 ltrs - It is said intestine capacity is 1.18 ltrs so you fill up and little more. 2. Try to complete your daily routine ( toilet etc) 3. Now brush your teeth . Idea is to take down the good minerals accumulated in the mouth back to system. 4. This has to nothing to do with this procedure , however work much better , Take 3 to four grams or say one coffee spoon of Cinamom( dalchini) Powder.( It is better to grind this spice for few days and use). More effects the Liver and hence should not be taken more than 3 to four grams).. 5. Drink a large cup of black tea ( This again has nothing to do with above procedure and if do not like can avoid it ) . Posiitively try to avoid the first tea with Milk . 6. Have 10-12 grains of uncooked rice and swallow with water prior taking breakfast. Very good Rule : No liquid during or after the meals. Hence do not drink any water during the meals. Drink water after 45 minutes. Please Repeat this water drinking with every meals. say For lunch or dinner 20 minutes before water and then 45 minutes after the meals. The above procedure will bring result max within 2 to three days. You will also notice glow on the skin , face etc after few days. You will positively feel better. ================================================================================= Now wonderful Breathing exercises for better digestion . The explanation for this is that good amount of circulation of blood is required in the abdomen area for better digestion. Say If you are working hard or walking , blood is circulated in full body and less amount or normal amount is going in the abdomen area. 1. After any food Please sit down in Bajrasan . Sit for four to five minutes. Trust you do not have any knee problems etc . If yes, try to bend ( whatever you can sit down. Below is another part of exercise. These two exercise ( one above and below) are the only exercises which are done after food . 1. Lie down face up ( no pillows etc). 2. Take deep Breath and try to lift your stomach area , Try to hold for 8 to 10 seconds and then exhale by mouth . Once you exhale stomach will come down) . Generally baby breath like this. 3. Do this exercise 6 times or eight times 4. Now lie down on your right side . Left side is up and right side is touching the Bed. same way with stomach lifting . Breathe 12 times or 16 times ( 12 times if first one you have done 6 times, 16 times , if first one is done 8 times ) 5. Now shift your position to left side . Left side down and right side up. Do it for 24 times or 32 times ) Formula is 6, 12, 24 or 8. 16 , 32 Explanation for above procedure : 1. when lying face up and breathing with stomach lifting , You are basically trying to create more space for the food and gas and also at the same time trying to breakdown the food.( feeling of shifting from small 10x10 room to big hall ) 2. When shifting to Right at the bottom- The stomach is on left side , the food finds it own track and move towards right side on its usual path. Breathing and pressure from top give it the push to line up at the right place. 3. When shifting to left - Liver is on right side . In this position the liver is on top position and bile ( digestive juice ) comes out by gravity , Less effort and mixes with food . Hence the better digestion. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Also when you are lying on left side( right side up) , The left nostril closes and you breathe from right side which gives the heat to body. This heat is required fir better combustion of fuel ( food ). When water is taken with meals this is what happens 1. Saliva required for digestion gets diluted and hence poor digestion. 2. The food in the stomach gets undue pressure of this water to shift its position faster than normal. Hence teh fuel is not burnt and you have extinguished the fire. 3. Bile - again digestive juive required for better breaking up of food etc gets diluted and not able to do its job efficiently. 4. For proper combustion of fuel or food the heat is required and not the cold. This is made worse with adding of water. It is like putting the water on the burning gas or chulha. Generally you must have observed the feet etc are not washed after the food, bath is not taken after the food. All this adds to cooling of the body and hence poor digestion.
