For Adoption($600): Meet Lightening Prince! He is a 9 year old, 15.3 hh, bay, Standardbred gelding. Prince is a joy to take care of- he absolutely loves human attention and will lower his head and close his eyes when softly petted. He’s very personable and people-oriented, but he also gets along well with other horses- he is currently leader of the pack! He cross-ties well, and also stands in his stall for grooming. He has no vices. He has been under saddle for almost a year now and shows great potential as he learns to bend and listen to the rider’s leg. He has made great gains working on his balance through serpentines and bending in the corners, and will shortly begin learning how to canter under saddle! He has been ridden outside by himself, and does well. He has also been to a schooling show and obtained Reserved Champion for non-school horses! Prince has a great work ethic- his enthusiasm is evident when he reaches the arena. He lights up when he sees a cart and seems to remember his racing days fondly. Prince will be a fantastic partner for a serious intermediate/advanced rider looking for a diamond in the rough! He has the potential to be a terrific dressage prospect with the right trainer as he has the right mind and flashy physical characteristics.
