For All Hallows Eve/Halloween/Day of the dead/All Souls Day I - TopicsExpress

For All Hallows Eve/Halloween/Day of the dead/All Souls Day I found this to be beautiful! The Samhain(Sah ween) Veil It is said that the Samhain holds back the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Those who once lived in this life revisits their homes and families to give guidance and direction. Often this is the night to perform divination as the spirits of wisdom are at their strongest and ancestors can also be reached for guidance. Some prefer to use the Tarot, others tea leaves, and scrying among other tools. While it is wise to spend time remembering your loved ones and listening for their voice of reason, be sure to also listen to your own. Its time to pull up roots that have all but died in your life and are no longer producing you any means of prosperity. Celts would have taken this time to slaughter the weak animals in their livestock that would not survive the harsh winter or that would not produce any nutritious foods that they might have been needed for. Their meat were then salted and then stored for winter food. Look into your own life and see what is stagnant or decaying and pull up the roots to rid it from your life. What wisdom do you hold from those situations that you can apply to come? What obstacles have you had to overcome at this point? If you are not sure what in your life needs looking out, pull out the Tarot and seek guidance in the cards. Listen to the spirits for advice, still your heart and accept change. ~ Anonymous
