For Future Kids: Star Trek Friends team up to bring Reading Rainbow back as they read to kids. Do you remember the Reading Rainbow song? Do you have a Reading Rainbow story? Send your story - as a link or an attachment - to stories@readingrainbow (kck.st/1hy6EE7) As you may or may not know, LeVar Burton is trying to bring Reading Rainbow back, and to as many children as possible. He and his RR team developed an app for the iPad and Kindle (after the show was cancelled), but realized that those platforms are not accessible for the majority of children. He started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $$ to get funding to create a desktop based program and to deliver the program to 1500 classrooms in need. The campaign EASILY reached their initial goal in the first day, but announced a stretch goal of $5M to have funds to develop apps for many many platforms (PS4? Android? Wii U?
