“For God so loved the world,” (John 3:16a, KJV) Wherever you - TopicsExpress

“For God so loved the world,” (John 3:16a, KJV) Wherever you are, I would like you to pause for a moment. Today’s world makes impossible demands on our time, our heart, and reasoning. I have no doubt that today you have felt something that has caused distress or worry. The young mother getting ready for work, worried if she will have enough money to feed her children. The elderly parent, feeling alone and wondering why no one remembers them. The devoted husband who constantly feels torn between the demands of their job and the responsibilities of their family. At the end of each day, many people do not feel accomplishment from a job well done, they only fret over the demands that will face them later. It is time to pause and remember a simple, but life-changing fact. “God loves you!” This statement is often overused and under heard because the demands of the world do not allow us enough time to listen. No matter what the world thinks about you, how your spouse treats you, or the nasty comments uttered by a co-worker, God loves you. Many people do not feel loveable and sadly, many more don’t stop to think about it. They have turned their life into an existence of a glorified machine, fulfilling the needs of others and tuning out their own desires. Even if you do not think you are lovable, God has already loved you. If you do not believe in Him, He believes in you and loves you just the same. Everyone reading this feels the need to be loved, but many have numbed that God-given desire. If this is not you, then you certainly know a person who has. Unlike human love, which typically is conditional and frail, God’s love for you existed before you did. You cannot earn it, you cannot lose it and He will not withdraw it ever. In this day and age of 24 hours news and social media consuming every free minute, take the time to thank the Lord for the reassurance that He loves you. No matter who else may leave you, He never will. If you are a believer, praise Him and honor Him with obedience. If you have not yet accepted Christ, know that He is calling no matter what is in your past. Submit your will to Him. Pray and acknowledge that you are a sinner. Tell Him that you know He is the Son of God and the only way to salvation. Ask Him to guide your life and to be your savior. You have His word that He will cleanse you from all unrighteousness and lift you from the despairs of this life. Take time to recognize just how valuable you are each day, because the creator of all things died for you. That is a true love that you will never find elsewhere. If you prayed the prayer to accept Jesus, I hope you will contact me so I may celebrate your new life with you. May the Lord bless you in the studying of His Word.
