For Hannah Bernal.... Cause I love her..... 10 things you probably dont know about me..... 1. I filmed a documentary with Oprah Winfrey in the mid 90s called The Road Map Out 2. I was a womens domestic violence advocate for 2 years and helped 100s of women and their children escape to safety, new homes, new jobs, new lives, and even new identities. 3. I founded and directed a non-profit organization for 5 years in which inner city youth were taught art, life skills, and compassion toward each other. The Young Artist Mural Program inspired over 3,000 youth and children. Our participants had a 95% high school graduation completion and over 1/2 went on to college-as far as I know they are all still creating art. 4. I hired Christian Bernal to be the Assistant Director for the Young Artist Mural Program. He later became my husband...... ;-) 5. I was a cheerleader for 13 years.... starting at age 3, I also played softball and had a mean pitch (thanks dad)Bobby Scott. 6. I have dreams that come true. I also experience extreme cases of intuition which are frequently correct. 7. I am very spiritual... But not religious. I believe in God... I talk to trees, plants, and animals- sometimes without speaking. I love them all. 8. It took me 13 years to get my Bachelors degree....I was a full time mom, worked full time, and I couldnt give up for my kids... my daughter and son are now both college graduates. :-) 9. Last year my tomato plants topped out at over 15 tall. My secret is coffee grounds and egg shells mixed into the soil throughout the growing season. I also sing to them. They love it. You are so Beautiful seems to be a particular favorite. 10. My family is my heart....they make me whole.
