For Palm Sunday - Hosanna, palm leaves wave against blue sky. Hosanna, children shout as He goes by. Hosanna, praise The Lord the people sing. Hosanna in the highest to our King! Upon a borrowed donkey Jesus rides, With simple people flocking to His side. No kingly robe - no crown upon His head Just garments strewed along the way instead. Hosanna, wheres the king the people seek? Hosanna, not this man so mild - so meek? Hosanna, He no earthly kingdom brings. Hosanna, King forever, heaven rings. Hail Him Who comes to give eternal life. To give us victory through toil and strife. Hail Him Who comes not for an earthly reign, But to restore our souls to God again. Hosanna, let the shout once more be raised.
