For Sunday Todays word of encouragement: Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 Christ was sent as the first ambassador to us. He turned that office over to us before He departed in Matt 28:18-20, Mark 16:15. An ambassador is one who has been sent by one superior power to those of another and fully represents them by word and deeds. We have been given the great responsibility of representing Christ Jesus and His kingdom! Whoa! that needs to be mulled over and examined very closely! We can not just haphazardly represent the kingdom of God and not pursue a character that reflects Christ Jesus as well! We are to stand in the place of Christ as if He Himself were petitioning men and women. Christ has entrusted this mission of the kingdom to us! He has equipped us for the mission and we must hold true to His heart and purpose! This understanding of being sent and carrying His heart removes any pride, arrogant attitudes, or judgments toward others. Today accept the fact that you have been sent in the name of Gods kingdom to represent God and carry His heart and purpose! All authority has been given to Jesus Christ and you have been entrusted with the mission of appealing to those God places in your path to come and be reconciled to God. Lets get to work! Remember if your appeal is rejected they are not rejecting YOU but CHRIST JESUS! Dont take it personally! God bless you P.M.
