For Those Who Want to Apply for Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Program in Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (GZUCM) World Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College is currently the only private career college in Chinese medicine and acupuncture that is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. After completing our program, students is eligible to apply for the Pan-Canadian Written and Clinical Case-Study Examinations. Our college offers certificate, diploma, and advance diploma program for various specialization in Chinese medicine. After completing our program, student can also further enhance their knowledge by enrolling in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for a masters (MSc) or doctoral (PhD) in Chinese medicine. Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is Chinas top University for Chinese Medicine. It is Chinas largest and best-equipped medical university with over 50 affiliated hospitals in the Guangzhou province. They engage in overseas promotion of Chinese medicine education throughout the world. In 2012, World Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College (WCMAAC) signed a collaboration agreement with them for a 5 years bachelor (BSc), a 3 years MSc, and 3 years PhD program. The tuition for the BSc program is $8,000 CAD per year, MSc program is $9,800 CAD per year, and the PhD program is $11,800 CAD per year. To enroll in the September 2014 BSc/MSc/PhD program offer by the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, applicant should apply before Aug 15th 2014. Applicants under the age of 37 may be qualified for: 1) Chinese Government Scholarships designed for overseas Chinese medicine graduate students including: Full coverage in tuition, housing and textbooks for the three years, and given $1,700 RMB monthly living allowance for MSc student, or $2000 RMB monthly for the PhD student. a. Those who are interested in applying for the Chinese Government Scholarships designed for overseas Chinese medicine graduate students should apply before April 12th 2014. 2) Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship offering $20,000 RMB per year for MSc student, and $30,000 RMB per year for PhD student. Those who are enrolled in the Bsc program in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine take their courses in Toronto for the first 2 years, then go to Guanzhou for the other 3 years. Those who are enrolled in the Msc and PhD program have the choice of studying in Toronto or Guanzhou for their entire duration, unless they are the candidate of the Chinese Government Scholarships designed for overseas Chinese medicine graduate students, where they must study in Guanzhou. Those who choose to study in Toronto will also have to go to Guanzhou for a short duration to register, select their research thesis topic, and for their thesis defense. Those that are in the Msc program will need to take 8 courses, and those that are in the PhD program will take 6 courses during the 3 years of their study. The student can take up to five years to finish their degree while paying only for 3 years tuitions.
