For Town of Cochrane: UPDATE SAT JUN 22, 6:20AM State of Local Emergency still in effect in the Town of Cochrane. Cochrane Emergency Services is in regular contact with other emergency agencies for information, coordination of services and support. Town of Cochrane Emergency Operations Centre remains fully operational. There are NO road closures, NO bridge closures in the Town of Cochrane at this time. Waterways: Bow River and Jumpingpound Creek appear stable for now. Monitoring continues. Forecasters predict that water levels should continue to drop slowly. Dams and rivers are still coping with water levels at this time. No plans for major flow increase from Ghost Dam. Fortis advises still no planned power outages. Reminder: STAY WELL CLEAR OF THE WATER. the flow is undercutting the banks and there is no way to tell if the bank is still stable at any given location. Evacuation: Voluntary evacuation still in place for residents in Bow Meadows, Crawford Ranch, Riverview, West Terrace Pointe, Heritage Hills north of pathway. Reception centre for evacuees is Frank Wills Hall 405 First St E. IF mandatory evacuation called, we will broadcast very widely. Troops: Dept of National Defence troops are based at the old Cochrane arena. They are using Cochrane as a base to get to those who need help in surrounding areas. Troops are not being deployed in the Town of Cochrane. Search and Rescue: Cochrane Search and Rescue volunteers are assisting RCMP in a variety of tasks, including monitoring conditions. Volunteers: Volunteers are NOT needed at the moment. NO supplies/donations required at this time. Other local issues: NO boil water advisory in Cochrane. Water quality here remains high, but use water wisely to reduce demand.
