For a simply subject, our main stream media cannot even get it correctly. First (from left to right then down) photo is on ST dated 7 Dec 2014 Live page 6 and carry the following caption: the floating platform can be lowered to mud level during low tide Photo 2 is taken at 1.20 pm 9 Dec 2014. The platform and walkway was submerged due to high tide. After reading the report, first reaction in my mind is why the platform does not float at high tide? Photo 3 is taken at 3.28 pm 9 Dec 2014. The concrete platform is clear of the water because of low tide. After examined the construction of the platform, it is confirmed that this is a fix platform stand on piles driven deep into the mud pond. It is therefore clear that the report in ST is wrong. I also noticed that the photo was supplied by Npark and not taken by ST reporter. How can we trust ST reports in view of their poor professional standard for unable to report news accurately? You get to see mudskipper real close at low tide as in Photo 4, can you see the plastic trash just beside the mudskipper?
