For a while now Ive wanted to do something called Movie Spotlight. Where I highlight a movie I feel doesnt get the exposure it deserves. Ill try to keep this up weekly. Seeing as its the month of All Hallows Eve I want to spotlight a horror movie. Hausu (House, 1977, Obayashi). I usually describe Hausa as an Japanese Evil Dead. A very simple plot combined with balls to the wall crazy horror sequences all done with an amateur film crew. Unlike Evil Dead, Hausu has horrendous special effect that somehow make the experience better. Hausus great to watch with friends.
