For all of my child and animal advocate friends, check out this video. When a dog, especially a breed known to be aggressive bites a child you so often hear family and friends say that the dog just attacked out of the blue. Experienced dog handlers know that dogs dont suddenly turn on the people around them. It is our job to educate others on proper interactions between humans and dogs. Often the signs that the dog is reaching his or her tolerance level are very subtle (tongue flicks, eye movements, etc.) but it is our responsibility to teach those signs and general respect for animals before something tragic does happen.
