For all of my military AND fitness folks (and I mean the ones who actually hit the gym and/or are on Fitocracy and/or actually research their shit), I am creating a class for my unit with Anthony Maurice Rodgers about how to get fit/stay fit. The problem of course is that I have to touch on FM 7-22 which governs military fitness, but I can then address the multitudes of other styles of fitness and ways to reinforce the military fitness plan. So far I have: APFT: Training from passing to a 300 FM 7-22: Following guidelines established by the U.S. Army Bodybuilding: Training to look good Powerlifting: Training to lift heavy Crossfit: Training to perform for speed (cardio & lifting) Military Athlete: Training to be the physically complete soldier Cardio: Running/biking/swimming/triathlon training Do you have any other category suggestions that encompass an actual field, and if you do any of these consistently, can you send me some resources to cite along with examples? I am doing my own research, but this is a broad topic. Even if I dont get to teach all of this, it would be a good Fitness Bible to have on hand in the form of a Powerpoint/PDF. This will address diet as well. For instance, a lifting diet might prescribe a 50/35/15 Protein/Carb/Fat ratio while a cardio diet might prescribe more carbs as fuel to burn.
