For all of you bakers out there...I have an important question I need answered right away. I am baking a cake for a party on Thursday. I was going to bake the layers tonight and put it together tomorrow. However, the last line in the directions says to store the cake in the refrigerator. It has strawberry puree in the red layers and blueberry puree in the blue layer. It just uses regular icing, not whip cream. Do you think I can make the layers and leave them on the counter overnight and put it together tomorrow night for Thursday or should I just wait until tomorrow night to bake it and assemble it? It is a complicated process.
