For all of you who have cared enough to follow Beau throughout his journey, I wanted to give you an update. I brought Beau to the vet today. His leg is not infected it is fractured in two places though. They cant splint it bc his wrist bone is completely shattered and he is not putting weight on it anyway. They have increased his pain meds. The only option we have is to amputate his leg with hopes he will thrive and stay with us a little longer or to humanely put him down. This is a really tough decision for us and we are going to try and decide what to do tonight. Either way I will update as soon as we know the specifics and what we as a family are going to do. Beau seems in better spirits though and is still fighting which is good. He is much more comfortable now as well with his new pain meds. Thank you all so much again for your prayers and support through this tough time and Beau thanks you too. ♡
