For all our bat lovers, I have found a wonderful organization here on Facebook called Bat world Sanctuary They provide public education on bats and do great work with their rescues. You can follow their work and story on their FB page. And if you want to find some way to help out they have several ways you can do so. The one I chose is to save up my empty printer ink cartridges and send them to them so that they can turn them in for recycling with a company local to them for funds to continue their work. Periodically they sell beautiful tee shirts with screen prints of some of their resident bats as a fund raiser plus some creative fans of their group sometimes offer hand made items for sale and they send the proceeds or a portion of the proceeds (depends on the artist) to Bat world sanctuary. They also have a amazon wish list where people can buy things for the bats care and it is sent straight to them to help them help the bats. Their mailing address is Bat World Sanctuary 217 N. Oak ave Mineral wells, Texas, 76067 I also do the same thing for wild cat sanctuary in Minnesota.They take in abused big cats from all over and tend to their needs and give them a safe home for life.
