For all the specialty doctors out there - why isnt there one for intellectually disabled people? I cant tell you how many times Ive heard people comment since Ive started working at MHA - How doctors largely ignore our own - even while at medical appointments - they hardly take the time to assess/address... Theres a few good ones out there dont get me wrong but I want to say that even the good ones only address things that come up - never taking the time to investigate anything other than So why are you here today?.. I am always finding out new and exciting things in this world I live in that have to deal with things - left unsolved...
